Makin' bacon -- for dessert?
The San Jose Mercury News this week had a little item from Sue Kidd in Tacoma on a bistro there that features bacon in desserts. For anyone who would like to try this at home, here's a recipe for a bacon candy that the chef uses in some of his creations. And for anyone who loves bacon, check out Joanna Pruess's "Seduced by Bacon." I did a review of it for The Sacramento Bee when it first came out, including a recipe or two that I tested.
